Put the agreements in place to move an approved project forward.
Once DOC approves an implementation project application, grantees develop the agreements needed and implement the project for delivery. Depending on how the grantee engages with technical service providers supporting Stage 4: Project Design and Permitting, development projects may not require contracts with landowners or other project proponents. During this stage, you’ll identify the appropriate contract, develop and review the terms, make any needed revisions, and secure final approval.
Stage Outcome: Approved and signed agreement or contract between the grantee and project proponent.
Typical Duration to Complete: 3–5 months

Stage Workflow
The workflow below outlines the key tasks for putting the agreements needed for project delivery in place.
Select the appropriate contract or agreement type for the project and draft the contract terms.
Review the draft with the appropriate councils, partners, contractors, or other parties and gather input.
Address revisions and confirm the final terms with the parties involved.
Complete required Board approval and signatures to execute.
